The Mount Hagen Show brings together singsing groups from all over the country in an amazing conglomeration of color, beauty and culture. The Hagen show is held in August every year 

Day 1 Arrive in Port Moresby. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight Airways Hotel
Day 2 Fly with Air Niugini to Mt Hagen. Full Day Mt Hagen Show. Overnight Rondon Ridge 7100 feet above sea level, on the outer fringes of the Kubor Range, lies Rondon Ridge. Boasting panoramic views of the Wahgi Valley below.. It is a spectacular introduction to our lodges on arrival and a welcome stepping stone to civilization before departure from Mount Hagen.
Day 3 Full Day Mt Hagen Show. Overnight Rondon Ridge. Rondon Ridge is the pinnacle of luxury in a remote and rural setting.
Day 4 Papua New Guinea ToursLake Murray. Afternoon Tour. Overnight Lake Murray Lodge Nestled among the trees on an island spit, Lake Murray lodge, the newest lodge in our portfolio, overlooks beautiful Lake Murray. The lodge has found its' home in this very remote area and on the largest lake in Papua New Guinea. Island communities of stilted houses dot the water landscape of the lake. Dugout canoes are the primary mode of transportation and fishing is a major source of food to the local population. Lake Murray is the largest lake in Papua New Guinea. During the wet season it spreads to occupy an area of about 2000 square kilometers. It has a population of about 5,000 people scattered in small villages, both on tiny islands and coastal areas of the lake.
Day 5 Full Day Tour.Overnight Lake Murray Lodge
Day 6 Charter flight to Overnight Karawari Lodge, on a ridge overlooking the Karawari River, in the Sepik region, is a time-warped mixture of pre-technological and technoloical architecture - is the perfect base for some old-fashioned jungle, river and village exploration. You are in the middle of Arambak country-- locals pole dug-out canoes, the drums throb, the wild birds call, and, traditional village lifestyles continue largely unchanged."Somethinglike a National Geographic expedition. No roads. Thick jungle. Locals poling dugouts. Crocodiles.
Day 7 Transfer to the Sepik Spirit.  Afternoon Tour. The Sepik Spirit takes our guests on a voyage along the waterways of Papua New Guinea's Sepik region. 
Currently, the Sepik Spirit primarily journeys on the Karawari River, the storied tributary of the Sepik River, and on to the Krosmeri River which allows entry to the mysterious Blackwater Lakes.
Day 8 Full Day Tour. Sepik Spirit. Time will be spent with villagers hearing about rituals, warfare,initiation ceremonies and ancestral beliefs.  Men’s houses, spirit houses and family houses will be visited.  

These villages are renowned for producing tribal art specialties such as masks, flutes and spirit figures. There will be opportunities to view and purchase art pieces and crafts in the villages' impromptu and low pressure markets.
Day 9 Full Day Tour. Sepik Spirit.The densely forested riverbanks of the Karawari River contrast with the wide open expanse of the Blackwater Lakes. Bird life is rich throughout both regions.There will be plenty of photo opportunities, including those of day-to-day life. Men gather on their clan's bench. Children paddle canoes to school. Women fish with hand lines while keeping a fire burning in a clay fireplace

Day 10 AMbua LodgeCharter flight to Tari. Afternoon Tour. Overnight Ambua Lodge is an inspired mixture of local architecture, spectacular views and modest luxury off the beaten track. Located at 7000 feet (2100 meters) in the PNG Southern Highlands, homeland of the Huli clan with their human hair wigs adorned with colourful flowers. Recipient of the Pacific Asia Travel Association's "Pacific Heritage Award" which sighted Ambua Lodge as "superb example of culturally sensitive and ecological responsible tourism". Ambua Lodge has thirteen species of birds of paradise close by and an amazing array of orchids. Lists of birds, orchids and other plants of the Ambua and Tari Gap area are available.
Day 11 Full Day Tour. Overnight Ambua Lodge, Tari is home to one of the most immediately recognizable cultures in Papua New Guinea - the "Huli Wigmen". A proud, flamboyant tribe known for their ornate ceremonial "wigs" with dances and songs fashioned on that of the mating rituals of the Birds of Paradise - an encounter with the Huli's is bound to be memorable. Life for the majority of villagers around Tari remained mostly unchanged until the turn of this century
Day 12 Full Day Tour. Overnight Ambua Lodge. A favored destination amongst birders, Ambua's rain forests have been the star of many a wildlife documentary. An incredible 217 species have been recorded here and Ambua is home to 13 different species of Bird of Paradise. Ambua employs knowledgeable local birding guides and caters for all interest levels, from early morning birding excursions for guests on more culturally orientated tours, keen to catch a glimpse of these spectacular birds; to fully specialized birding tours tailored to the seasoned enthusiast.
Day 13 Fly with PNG Air to Port Moresby. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight Airways Hotel
Day 14 Transfer to international flight out

Special Note Regarding Charters: 
Maximum baggage allowance is 10kg per person and a maximum of 5kg carry on baggage per person.Large, hard sided suitcases are not permitted on charter aircraft.  Extra luggage can be stored at our Port Moresby office free of charge.
This is an Escorted Program and Land Cost Includes:
Accommodation,airport transfers and tours on a seat in a bus basis, meals , services of a professional tour guide throughout, local guides and show gate fees. Cost also includes all gratuities to hotel, restaurant staff, local drivers, guides and porters.

To secure space due to the popularity of our show programs, a non-refundable deposit of US$1000.00 per person is required to confirm the booking.Cancellations:  Immediate:  Loss of deposit until June 3;  received between 4th June and commencement of the tour will attract a 75% fee of the total land and air charter costs.  No refund is available after scheduled arrival in Papua New Guinea or in respect of any tour, accommodation, meals or other services not utilized during the tour.  Any additional costs incurred because of changes made during the itinerary by clients, will be to the client's account.
