Itinerary Day 1. Queenstown, Doubtful Sound. Travel into the spectacular
wilderness region of World Heritage-listed Fiordland National Park. This is a
land of cloud-scraping mountain ranges, glacially gouged fiords, rushing icy
streams and lush rain forests. Arrive in Doubtful Sound in the midst of
Fiordland National Park and experience the true remoteness, wilderness and
peacefulness of the fiord on an overnight stay. Perhaps borrow a kayak and go
paddling to discover marine life up close or view the impressive Browne Falls
cascading down over 1,960 feet. Stay: Doubtful Sound, ‘Fiordland

Day 2. Doubtful Sound, Te Anau. Today progresses at a truly relaxed
pace, starting with a lovely breakfast aboard before disembarking and
continuing the journey, this time heading by road in the direction of the
pretty lakeside settlement of Te Anau. Visit the intriguing glow worm caves and
drift in the darkness beneath the speckled light of thousands of glow worms.

Day 3. Te Anau, Jetboat Ride, Stewart Island. This morning experience a
wonderfully exhilarating jetboat ride across Lake Hauroko, the deepest natural
lake in New Zealand, and down the Wairaurahiri River. After a short trip to
Invercargill, you’ll join your plane for a scenic flight to Stewart
Island, known for its diverse marine and bird life, pure waters and sandy
beaches. Take some time to relax in this pristine region before a sumptuous
dinner of local produce sourced from both the sea and the Lodge’s garden.
Two Night Stay: Stewart Island Lodge, in a bush setting on Half Moon Bay. Bx1

Day 4. Stewart Island, Ulva Island. This morning is free to do with as
you please. Relax at the lodge or explore its tranquil and pristine
surroundings. This afternoon, take a catamaran cruise to Paterson Inlet and
visit Ulva Island, a wildlife sanctuary. With your nature guide, discover and
learn about the native birdlife. Back on board your catamaran, return to the
mainland as you absorb the informative commentary provided about your

Day 5. Stewart Island, Bluff, Queenstown. After a lovely catamaran
cruise, this time to Bluff, you’ll return by land to the alpine resort of
Queenstown, where your small group regional experience concludes. Bx1
