DAY 1: SYDNEY – BLUE MOUNTAINS (100km) Head out of Sydney towards the Blue Mountains, one of Australia’s most popular National Parks. Being only two hours out of the city means that there is plenty of time today to explore the region.

DAY 2: BLUE MOUNTAINS The Blue Mountains is a rugged region west of Sydney in Australia’s New South Wales. Known for dramatic scenery, it encompasses steep cliffs, eucalyptus forests, waterfalls and villages dotted with guesthouses, galleries and gardens. Katoomba, a major town in the area, borders Blue Mountains National Park and its bushwalking trails. Echo Point affords views of the storied Three Sisters sandstone rock formation. Today is at leisure to allow you more time to ensure that all the highlights of the region are covered – visit Scenic World to take a ride on the famous railway or Skyway (own expense) or simply take in the incredible views on offer such as the Three Sisters.

DAY 3: BLUE MOUNTAINS - HUNTER VALLEY (247km) Pass through Brisbane Water and Wollemi National Parks before arriving at your accommodation in the Hunter Valley. HUNTER VALLEY - The Hunter Valley is the oldest wine producing area in New South Wales, with the first vines being brought here in the 1820's. It is one of Australia's more scenic wine growing areas, with the Hunter River winding its way lazily through the grapevine clad hills. Renowned for the production of top quality table wines, the Valley has wineries ranging from very large, more commercial estates to the smaller boutique style wineries.

DAY 4: HUNTER VALLEY Another day to spend at leisure! The Hunter Valley is New South Wales’ most famous wine region, and with over eighty wineries on offer you will be sure to sample some classic tastes!

DAY 5: HUNTER VALLEY - PORT STEPHENS (100km) Drive through the scenic Lemon Tree passage to reach Port Stephens, known for the bottlenose dolphins that play in the bay. Port Stephens is known for its wonderful beaches and beautiful sheltered bays, perfect for families as well as swimming, snorkeling and kayaking. Indulge in the fabulous seafood and enjoy diving right off the beach at Nelson Bay.

DAY 6: PORT STEPHENS - SYDNEY (207km) Leave Port Stephens and travel south along the Pacific Highway through Newcastle and past Lake Macquarie. Make your way back into Sydney over the majestic Harbour Bridge.
